Winter Program: Jan 19–Apr 20

The winter program is designed for tournament level players who aspire to, or are currently playing in High School, NH Junior Golf Tournaments, NE Junior Golf Events, and AJGA Events.

PROGRAM DATES: January 19 – April 20, 2025
DAY & TIME: Sundays from 1:00–3:00 pm
LOCATIONS: Granite Fitness & Performance, 275 Locust St, Dover, NH and St. Thomas High School, 197 Dover Point Rd, Dover, NH

New player assessments

All new players will go through an initial evaluation and bag fitting to assess all areas of your game.

Indoor practice will include

  • Improving grip, posture, alignment, ball position, distance control
  • Ball striking, chipping, pitching and lob shots. Focused on technique, distance control and trajectory
  • Practice putting on the indoor putting mat.
  • Basic golf fitness training to improve core strength, mobility, and flexibility.

Simulator golf tournament

Members will play (8) nine-hole events (handicapped) at select courses around the world, played on our Foresight Golf Simulators. The winter long tournament requires completing a nine hole match every two weeks. That match must be scheduled, completed and documented by the players. Matches will be played at our simulator locations, Granite Fitness or St. Thomas Aquinas High School. The overall tournament champion will receive a new set of Taylor Made Irons.

Private lessons

For a separate fee, all junior golfers may add lessons from one of our golf professionals.

Summer Program: Jun 22 – Aug 10

The SJGA summer program is designed for tournament level players who aspire to, or are currently playing in, High School, NH Junior Golf Tournaments, NE Junior Golf Events and AJGA Events. Students registering for this program are serious about golf and looking to jump-start their season with extra instruction.

Program Preview

PROGRAM DATES: June 22 – August 10, 2025.
DAY & TIME: Sundays 4:00–5:30 for range practice; Course play days TBD.

SJGA’s Summer Golf Program features instruction, and on-course play:

  • 1.5 hours per range session
  • Course play is 6 to 9 holes depending on daylight

Summer practices will consist of a maximum of 16 total students split evenly into groups and covering advanced topics in the long game, short game, and putting categories. Additional topics will include, rules of golf, course etiquette, safety, and proper practice techniques. On-course practice will include instructors providing training and guidance.

Private lessons

For a separate fee, all junior golfers may add lessons from one of our Golf Professionals.

2025 Academy Membership

Fees: The 2025 Membership fee is $375 for the year, and includes entry to our winter and summer training programs.

Eligibility: All junior golfers ages 14 to 17 (and still in high school) who reside in the Seacoast, New Hampshire region. This includes Barrington, Dover, Durham, Greenland, Hampton, Nottingham, Portsmouth, Rollinsford, Rye, Somersworth, and Stratham.

Annual Membership Includes:

  • SJGA logo golf hat
  • SJGA logo shirt
  • Logo golf balls for tournaments
  • Academy members who play in five NHGA Junior Tournaments will receive a new Titleist SJGA logo golf bag.
