It’s been a banner season!
The Seacoast Junior Golf Staff is proud to update you on the 2024 summer accomplishments of its junior golfers. We would like to congratulate all of our players on their summer and high school season accomplishments. Below are some highlights from some of our players.
First, we’d like to Congratulate Carys Fennessy for her incredible summer of tournament golf. Below is the very long, and impressive, list of her accomplishments this summer.
- 2024 NH Women’s State Am Champion (Won by 18 strokes) (2 Time Champion)
- 2024 New England Women’s Amateur Champion
- 2024 New England Junior Amateur Champion
- 2024 New Hampshire High School Golf Individual Girls Champion (4 Time Champion)
- 2024 New England High School Golf Girls Champion (2 Time Champion)
- 2024 Invitee to the Pure Insurance Senior PGA Tour Tournament at Pebble Beach and Spy Glass
- Competed in her first LPGA tournament at the end of August at the FM Global Championship at TPC Boston in Norton, Massachusetts. Carys earned a spot in the tournament after carding a winning score of 1-under 71 in Monday’s qualifier. In Monday’s qualifier, she bested an 11-player field, featuring nine LPGA professionals and one other amateur.
- Participated in the North and South Junior Championship, an invitational event that was played at Pinehurst (North Carolina) Resort and Country Club.
- Two Time Notah Begay National Championship Finalist.
- Carys has committed to play golf at Division I College of Charleston.
Finn Perry: Finn qualified for the varsity golf team at St. Thomas Aquinas (STA) as a freshman. Finn finished the high school season with a nine-hole season average of 41, and was medalist in three varsity matches this season. During the final STA home match, Finn shot 2 under par 33 and was medalist.
Finn finished 9th overall in the New Hampshire high school team championships and 9th in the New Hampshire individual boy’s championship (only freshman to qualify). Finn was awarded the 2024 STA Tour Grind Award for most committed golfer. Finn received his varsity golf letter.
Kendall Wishart: Kendall qualified for the varsity golf team at St. Thomas Aquinas (STA). She competed in eight varsity matches and finished with a nine-hole season average of 46. Kendall finished 11th overall in NH high school girl’s individual tournament, and competed in the New England high school championships at Mohegan Sun CC, finishing 45th in New England. Kendall was awarded the 2024 Most Improved Player at St. Thomas Aquinas. Kendall received her varsity golf letter.
Cooper Coate: Coop qualified for the varsity golf team at St. Thomas Aquinas (STA). He competed in ten varsity matches and finished with a nine-hole season average of 41. Coop was medalist in one varsity match this season. Coop shot 85 (T17) in the team championships, just missing the individual tourney by one shot. Coop was awarded the 2024 STA Coaches Award. Cooper received his varsity golf letter.
Griffin Rendall: Griff qualified for the junior varsity golf team at St. Thomas Aquinas (STA) as a freshman. Griff worked very hard on his game this season, and significantly lowered his average. He finished the year with a nine-hole average of 47, and a low score of 43. Griff was selected as the 2024 STA Most Improved JV player. Griff has come a long way this year.
Grant Baker: Grant qualified for the varsity golf team at St. Thomas Aquinas (STA) as a freshman. He finished the high school season with a nine-hole season average of 46. Grant received his varsity golf letter.
Ben Zbikowski: Ben qualified for the varsity golf team at Dover High School. He finished the high school season with a nine-hole season average of 39. Ben was co-medalist in two varsity matches this season. He won the Dover High Coaches Award and received his varsity golf letter.
Tyler Buchanan: Tyler qualified for the varsity golf team at Dover High School. He finished the high school season with a nine-hole season average of 40. Tyler broke par in one match and received his varsity golf letter.
Sam MacGregor: Sam qualified for the varsity golf team at Dover High School. He finished the high school season with a nine-hole season average of 44. Sam received his varsity golf letter.
Des Fennessy: Des qualified for the varsity golf team at Dover High School as a freshman. He finished the high school season with a nine-hole season average of 44. Des received his varsity golf letter and won the Most Improved Player award.
Colin Moe: Colin qualified for the varsity golf team at Dover High School as a freshman. He finished the high school season with a nine-hole season average of 45. Colin received his varsity golf letter.
Adeline Churchill: Addy finished 11th overall in the New Hampshire high school girl’s individual tournament.
